Had occasion to go to Royal Oak today unbooked. My two American guests and I were greeted by Clare the cook. She then prepared and served three wonderful meals. Photos attached. What a lovely person Clare is and the food was out of this world!well done Royal Oak. My guests were very very impressed. Adding we get nothing in the USA like this.

Had my daughters birthday party here. What can I say? Absolutely amazing. Kids and parents all agreed best birthday party. Staff took care of everything, and were absolutely lovely. But of course the absolute top of the day, was the chance for all the children and adults to spend time with and hold those beautiful meerkats. 100% would recommend

Lovely inn with great food, decent prices and friendly staff. Jasmine did a brilliant job as server. The meerkats are very much real, and very cute. They seem to have a good amount of space and seem happy and inquisitive

Another lovely afternoon at the pub, it is so lovely to have lunch at a table next to the Meerkat enclosure. Food is excellent and staff so welcoming. My husband and I went with one of his sons who thoroughly enjoyed everything about his first visit. Will definitely be returning, thanks Chris and fellow workers!!! See you soon!!

We had a wonderful time at the Royal Oak. Food was great, Claire was a fantastic host and took the time to tell us all about the Meerkats which was such a fantastic surprise. Definitely worth a visit for young and old

We visited on Saturday for the first time after a friends recommendation! We had a delicious breakfast that was great value and was served but friendly staff! To top it off we met the beautiful meerkats in the garden and had a little play time with the babies! We will definitely be returning!!

Spent a lovely evening at The Royal Oak this evening for dinner and meet the Meerkats. My husband is very particular about burgers and he said his burger was really good - high praise indeed from him ! The staff are lovely and really attentive. The Meerkat babies were simply adorable 😍
